Big Tiger Hook 4.5–5 inch-  Bold striped freshwater fish for large tanks, semi-aggressive predator, easy care for experienced aquarists

Big freshwater fish with bold tiger-like stripes
Size: 4.5–5 inch (medium-adult stage)
Very active and eye-catching in aquarium
Best for experienced fish keepers

🌊 Water Conditions
Temperature: 24°C – 28°C
pH level: 6.5 – 7.5
Water hardness: 5 – 15 dGH
Needs clean, well-filtered water
Do 20–30% water change weekly
Avoid dirty or unstable water (causes stress)

🏠 Tank Setup
Minimum tank size: 75–100 gallons
Needs lots of swimming space
Add rocks, driftwood, and hiding spots
Strong filter is required
Good oxygen flow is important
Do not overcrowd tank

🤝 Tank Mates

Suitable:
-Rainbowfish
-Large barbs
-Plecos
-Bichirs
-Medium cichlids

Avoid:
-Small fish (guppies, neon tetra)
-Shrimp
-Slow or weak fish
-Can be territorial with similar-sized fish

🍽️ Feeding Habit

Omnivore (eats both meat & plant food)
Likes high-protein food

Best foods:
-Pellets (main diet)
-Bloodworms
-Brine shrimp
-Mysis shrimp
Can also eat some vegetables, Feed 1–2 times daily, Do not overfeed (keeps water clean)
